The best club in your bag should be your golf putter

Remember the old adage about golf putters; drive for show and putt for money, it's true! If you drive a green in two but putt out for a bogey nobody will remember your 250 yard drive. All they will remember is you pulled out your wilson putter and buried yourself.

Unquestionably, the key to good putting always begins "w ih good technique, but it's also important to have a putter that caters to your individual style. For instance, if you're a player with a slight-back, , straight-through stroke, a face-balanced putter will perform 'titter for you. If your stroke arcs, a heel-weighted putter will better complement your putter movement. Shaft length and head shaped weight also complement specific strokes.

No golf game is won on the tee, it's won on the green. If you are having a problem getting to the green then possibly new golf clubs are in order. If the shaft of your clubs are too stiff or too flexible they are wrong for you and you are in a loosing battle. Callaway, Taylor made, Ping, Wilson, Ram, Nike, or Titleist golf putters are great.

The Callaway family of products, is the dominant name in putters. However, the new I-Trax head could give the 2-Ball a run for the money. Featuring a 100 percent aluminum head and face, the I-Trax provides a soft feel and ample forgiveness on off-center hits. The three-weight design, which places two weights in the face and one in the sole of the club, provides a high MOl for significant resistance to twisting at impact.

The TRi-Weight putters feature Carbite's Polar Balanced technology, which takes the form of two tungsten weights—one each in the heel and toe sections of the putter face. A third weight is positioned deep behind the face, which increases MDI and yields a straighter and smoother stroke with less skid and greater stability. The three inserts add 6.5 times more weight than the aluminum they displace. The Weighted putters come in traditional heel-toe blade versions or as a heel-shafted or center-shafted mallet.

If there ever is a company dedicated solely to preventing excessive putter backspin, Aserta Sports would take top honors. According to Aserta, backspin is what derails putts off line and off speed, making it very difficult to maintain a consistent roll from putt to putt.

The new Monster mallet putter features what Aserta calls Inverted Mass Technology, which raises the putter's CG above the equator of the golf ball at impact for the absolute in backspin reduction. Like all Aserta putters, the higher CG is attained by designing the putter "upside down," with the majority of the weight on the top half of the putter.
